About Me

Glassblowing is intense business! I only get a few seconds to create the stem on this pumpkin.

It all started...

A glassblowing class was an escape from my demanding career in high tech.    It wasn't long before I was hooked! So now I experiment with the forms, colors, and techniques of this challenging medium. It’s an endless process with unlimited possibilities and a lot of excitement.

And Then Covid Hit

Multiple colors of murrini made with "hot glass", then fused into the shape of a seahorse.

When Covid hit, I stopped blowing glass. But as I was walking out the door, I pulled a bunch of cane to make murrini for this experiment I was doing (see the video!) to fuse it into fun suncatchers like this...

See the video here

Red and yellow murrini made with "hot glass", then fused into the shape of a cod.

Which then evolved into making this big version for the Marblehead Festival of Arts fundraiser.

Motif #1 in fused glass

Which then evolved into doing fused glass art as an equal passion to my glassblowing
